Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn, born 19th August 1965, is an American actor. Her most well-known work is portraying the role of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). In her role as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. After the conclusion of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also remembered for her recurring character as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) as well as The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was one of the New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and therapist for families, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English heritage. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish and has said that she participates at Passover seders.
